Delicious kebabs are a tradition for Huzur owner Mustafa and his family. For 20 years his dad worked in the New Zealand Turkish cuisine industry and before retiring last year, he made sure to pass down his knowledge and teach Mustafa everything he knows.
When a three month holiday to Turkey turned into 18 months due to COVID, Mustafa conceived the idea for Huzur during the two week quarantine at the New Zealand Boarder. Here, his logo’s, designs and menu’s were born, ready to hit the ground running for opening day on June 12th 2021.
Based on George Street, North Dunedin, Huzur Kebab brings a much needed, late-night Turkish cuisine north of the Octagon, and offers something that surrounding places don’t; authentic Turkish cuisine.

I dined in here last week with my family and had a great experience. The new renovations look really good and the new menus looks delicious. I ordered the new meat on rice dish and I was not disappointed. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and we will definitely be back for more!

Easily the best In Dunedin at what they do. The man himself and his team are so friendly and always deliver the best results. Would recommend them to anyone.
